Back to College: Backpack Essentials

The back-to-school season is in full-swing, well it has been since the middle of July. Shopping for school supplies and clothes is a great mask to shield the fact that your summer is coming to a close. This is the first of many 'Back to College' posts that'll help the transition move seamlessly.

This post is all about what you NEED in your backpack at all times in college. It'll keep you prepared for any and all kind of situations that you may stumble upon while in class, walking to class, grabbing lunch, or studying.

First things first, the actual backpack.

You can see me sporting this super fun mint colored High Sierra backpack, that is perfect for holding all your college essentials.

1. Water bottle
I don't know about y'all but I get a decent workout walking from class to class. Also, it can sometimes get a little hot out as it does occasionally in the south (note the sarcasm0! And this backpack is perfect because it has 2 pockets on both sides that are the perfect size to store your water bottle.

2. Umbrella
Rain 189 Syd 0. This may be a bit of an exaggeration, but for the most part, I rarely check my weather app and often find myself caught in a monsoon. That's why I always have my cute gingham umbrella with me at all times.

3. Laptop
This should be a no-brainer but it made its way to the list anyhow. This High Sierra comes fully stocked with a padded computer sleeve. I think I may have a career as a flight attendant, I could totally get on board with that. Pun intended!

4. Chargers
Don't limit yourself to just one! Grab a computer, phone, and portable charger that'll make all your devices last throughout the day.

5. Toiletries
I always have a little bag filled with chapstick, hair ties, hair brush, feminine products, get the idea. You have to be prepared for every situation.

6. Headphones
A good study session wouldn't be complete without some tunes. I have started keeping an extra pair of headphones in my bag at all times because I've forgotten them on many occasions. Better safe than sorry!

7. School Supplies
This probably should have been higher on the list, but y'all know the drill. Textbooks, notebooks, folders, writing utensils (my favorite is the Pilot G2!)...

8. Planner
I still have a good 5 months left in my Lilly planner, but you can bet your bottom dollar that when January rolls around I will be hunting for the perfect planner.

9. Snacks
I saved the best for last! I never know when I'm going to be stranded somewhere with no nourishments in sight, so I always keep a granola bar or two stashed away.

For my lovely regular visitors, you may have noticed how wacky my posting schedule has been this month. I am working on generating a new schedule since school will be starting up again next week. I have another BTC post publishing tomorrow, so check back here then!
