Floral Halter Dress & Turning 19

Dress: Blue Mountain Boutique (sold out - similar)

If you must knowing any one thing about me, it's that I don't like my birthday. Lot's of people have said this, but I sincerely dread my birthday each year. Part of it is my having not the best memories or birthdays in the past, but it also has to do with my fear of time moving too quickly. It scares me to no end that I turn 19 today and am going to be a sophomore in college.

But I can find encouragement in John 14:27 "Peace is what I leave with you; it is my own peace that I give you. I do not give it as the world does. Do not be worried and upset; do not be afraid." This shows me that God guarantees that He is working out His purpose for me and for all of us. The fear of the unknown can terrify me but through I find comfort in the Comforter himself and his promise to us.

Products Haul

One of my favorite things to get in the mail is new products, especially skin care items. Seriously, give me some face masks (these are my favorite and super affordable!) and I'll be content. I was kindly sent a few products these past weeks, and after trying them wanted to give some reviews.

Freeman Beauty Masks: I am a bit obsessed with masks, I think I have a problem. I have really enjoyed using this Mud Mask and Clay Mask from Freeman Beauty. They're super quick to do, but my one con is that you really got to scrub to get them off. Maybe I'm just not used to doing so, but unless you want blue streaks on your face you need to be armed with scrubbing tools.

Jergens Natural Glow: My mom got me this for my high school graduation, and I just now repurchased it.

Crabtree & Evelyn Hand Therapy: This stuff smells so good, pomegranate is the best. Random fact but I have absurdly soft skin, especially my hands. It's a weird genetic thing, but I'm not complaining. I don't often use lotion for my hands but this could come in handy in the winter.

Au Lait Body Wash: Even with 3 years of French under my belt I still admittedly googled what this meant. Au Lait translates to 'with milk', I think I was hoping for something more poetic, but it's all good. I've used this a few times, but it's nothing special.

That's all for today!

Check back tomorrow for a birthday post!

Favorites from J.Crew Factory Under $60

Do y'all ever get in those moods where you just want to online shop, that is me right now! And the first site I went straight to was J.Crew Factory!

For my internship, I had to buy some khaki shorts and didn't have much time to do so. I ended up buying a pair from Walmart for almost $10 more than this high-quality pair. This price is comparable to Old Navy and they have a lot of fun colors.

This style of earrings has been super trendy lately, I love that this pair is a little bit shorter!

This top reminds me of Kate Spade, it's probably the bow!

These tops have been all over Instagram, the phrases are so fun!

These neutral wedges would match almost every summer dress!

What I Have 2 Instagram Accounts & Why You Should Too

This recent establishment was much awaited!

My friends have been pestering me (in the nicest way possible) to get a personal Instagram account for the longest time. I have a few reasons why I decided to make a separate account from my blog Instagram and I'm going to share with you why today.

1. It creates much needed separation.
It was always difficult to decide to post about my friend's birthday on Instagram, but on my blog Instagram I just didn't find it fit. But with two different accounts, I can separate my personal life with my blogging life.

2. Captions.
The captions between my blog and personal account are like night and day. I always attempt to create fun and witty captions for my personal account, while my blog is always centered around my latest blog post.

3. Easy to switch accounts.
A great aspect of Instagram is how easy it is to switch between accounts, it just takes one click to go back and forth.

4. It's a great ice breaker.
Those of y'all who watch The Bachelorette, I was cracking up at the guy who 'broke the ice'. It was clever and entirely corny. I got off track, but I have always been reticent about sharing my blog. Even though everyone I've told has thought it was super cute! But I've found I can link my blog Instagram in the description in my personal account to kind of 'break the ice' of sharing that I have a blog!

For those of you contemplating making a separate Instagram I hope this gives you a better idea of the positives of taking the leap. If you bloggers already have a personal account I would love to follow you! I will have both accounts linked below and I'd love it if you gave me a follow.

Life Update

Hello y'all!

It's been quite some time that I've sat down and written a blog post. My motivation and inspiration to blog has been lacking this past school year. This past Sunday I participated in a #BloggingCollege Twitter chat, it's crazy how this one hour of my life seemed to put a jumpstart on my blog. I have already planned out this week's blog posts as well as shot some cute summer outfits. Blogging is something that I've always loved and I want to get back into the swing of things!

This summer I have stayed at school to work 2 jobs and 2 internships. I'm so pumped because my summer roommate, Maggie, will be coming into town today because she's taking summer classes. It's not the most glamorous summer but I plan to make the most of it. I just recently purchased my very first car and I am continuing to save up and put payments toward it. That's about it for my plans, but I hope it'll be a fun few months!

There is nothing I'd love more than for y'all to comment down below what your summer plans are!

Influenster Rosy Voxbox Review

This past week I found myself in the tiniest airport, the most minuscule airplane, and seated next to the most nervous flyer as our plane went everywhere but straight. I flew out of a small airport to Nashville, where my lovely mother came and picked me up for spring break. It was quite the eventful journey, but as most do it has now become a great anecdote!

I was happy to come home and see my family (not so happy about the snow that's on the ground), and excited to see a package from Influenster! I wanted to give a quick review of all the items I was sent!

This past summer I worked at a shoe store, and therefore I am well versed when it comes to foot and shoe products. We actually sold this item in-store, and I always thought it was a great product. You simply put it on the ball of your foot to add stability to whatever shoes you're wearing.

Tell me I'm not the only one who appreciates a good deodorant? This particular one I've used before and was pleased to find it in the box. This will definitely be coming back to college with me, especially with warmer months en route.

I think this is my favorite item in the box! I have always wanted to try NYMs products, I applaud their packaging. I have naturally wavy hair so this spray helps to enhance them, and it smells SO GOOD! I personally don't like coconut, but strangely I love how this spray smells.

While this product isn't all that fun, it'll be perfect to put in my backpack or purse!

They sent us two little sample perfumes from Vera Wang, I have a lot of these and don't ever find myself using them. However, I think I'll just pass them on to my mom to use!

Also, don't forget to wear green today! Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Free People Inspired Thermal

I've always loved the idea of Free People, but their prices are not doable for a college student. But you can still find lots of look-a-likes for their icon pieces at a fraction of the price. Just like this thermal waffle top, it's so comfortable to wear to class or dress up and wear to church. And I adore the mauve color, it's one of my favorites.

Friday couldn't have come sooner, I've been crazy busy this week. And this weekend will be dedicated to the library because I've got three tests early next week. I will hopefully have time to catch the SuperBowl, who are y'all cheering for? I'm with the Pats on this one!
