New Year Resolutions

I'm a firm believer that people shouldn't wait for a new year to make new goals and resolutions. However, I find that with a new year upon us it's a great time to take a step back and reevaluate ourselves and think of what we wished we accomplished more in the previous year.

Try New Things (At Least Once A Month)
I love the outlet that the internet provides for us to learn new things. You could learn a dance, study a subject that interests you, or even learn a new language.

Send More Snail Mail
I love having snail mail buddies, its been so fun to chat with my fellow bloggers. If you'd like to be snail mail buddies fill out this form here!

Yoga/Stretching
My psychology teacher talked about how most of society never has a spare moment, as the saying goes "time is money." I want to at least twice a week sit down and do some stretching and yoga to help relieve stress and help calm me.

Make Time For Running
Ever since my cross-country season has ended, I've barely gone running. I want that to change. Routines always help me stick to something, so I plan to develop a running routine that works for me.

I always find it challenging to find time during the school year to read. I'm always swamped with school work, work work, and sports. This year I want to read at least one or two books a month. I'd love to hear any recommendations!

Save Up For Something I Truly Want
I think that working hard for something is one of the most rewarding things in life. I want to work hard for what I want whether it be a new pair of shoes or a Kate Spade purse!

That's all I have for you today, I hope you have a Happy New Years!

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil,
to give you a future and a hope.

December Grapevinebox Review

One of my favorite things and guilty pleasures is subscription boxes. Today, I will be reviewing the December Grapevinebox. It's a monthly subscription box that includes several beauty and lifestyle products. The box costs $20 a month, or $220 for a one year subscription.

Life Therapy Body Lotion & Wash

Both these products smell really good,
and they're perfect for travelling.

I didn't have any use for this product but my
mom gladly took it from my hands.

The packaging for this lip gloss is so cute,
and I love the pink color.

Ellovi Lip Butter
This was probably the product that I was most excited for,
I am always looking for new chapsticks!

I actually gave this to my dad because its gluten free,
and he said it tasted really yummy!

*I was sent this for review, but all opinions are my own!*

#GalPalHoliday: Cute & Cozy Holiday Outfits

I am so glad to bring to y'all another post for the #GalPalHoliday linked hosted by CathleenRachel & Cristina! But I'm so sad that this is the last post for the linkup:( However, let's make the most of it! For today's post I'll be sharing some cute and casual outfits to give you some holiday inspiration.

Holiday #1

I started this outfit with the scarf and kept the rest of the outfit pretty simple,
and how cute are these scalloped flats!

Holiday #2

Have you noticed my obsession with scallops?!

Holiday #3

If I were to wear this on Christmas I would be roasting, it's supposed to be in the 50s/60s.
But if it's currently cold where you live, rock it!!

Holiday #4

Once again, I wanted this green plaid scarf to be the focal point of the outfit
so I kept the rest of the outfit neutral.

Holiday #5

I've always had a love of fur vests, so I thought I'd style one
to give y'all some inspiration on how to wear one for the holidays.

Although I will probably be wearing pajamas, fuzzy socks and a robe this Christmas, I wanted
to give some outfit inspiration for if you're doing anything exciting!

What are your plans for Christmas?

Change Your Desktop Wallpaper
There are so many cute, festive wallpapers out there. It only takes a few minutes for you to change the wallpaper. Might I suggest...Charlie Brown!

When In Doubt...Add Christmas Lights
I always add white Christmas lights in my bed's headboard, it looks so pretty during the holidays.

Raid Target's Dollar Section
This past weekend I found myself in Target again looking at their adorable dollar section. I got a cute window stick on, some holiday pencils, and even some gift bags. It's a super cheap way to purchase some decor for your room.

Change Up Your Bed
There are tons of diys for holiday pillows that you could recreate this season. You can also purchase a cute throw blanket for the season.

Candles
I just recently changed my Watermelon Lemonade candle for a Twisted Peppermint one. It makes all the difference!

I've always wanted to have my very own gallery wall, if you do have one this is perfect for you. Just pick some holiday prints to put into your frames to add some more holiday pizzaz!

Gift Guide: For Her (Feat. Wishmindr)

1. Candles
Bath & Body Works or Yankee Candle are great places to pick up some candles to give to friends, there are so many scents to choose from.

2. Phone Case
A girl can never seem to have enough phone cases, we seem to need one to match each outfit.

3. Nail Polish
This is an easy gift that you can get at tons of places, if you know their favorite color even better!

4. Headphones
I always seem to lose or break my headphones, and can always use another pair.

5. Fuzzy Socks
You may think that this is a boring gift, but getting socks is always the best. Especially if the pair is cute, fuzzy and Christmas-y.

6. Scarves
Every year I always get my sister a scarf, I found a super cute one at Charming Charlies this year and I can't wait to gift it to her.

7. Mug
I may or may not have a mug on my Christmas list this year. It's such a cute gift to give, and you could even get a gift card to their favorite coffee place to go along with it.

8. Jewelry
So once again I picked up my mom a gift from none other than Charming Charlies. They have such a wide selection of jewelry (and other accessories) for great deals.

9. Journal
I know that I could always use a cute journal/notebook, whether it be to jot down to-do lists or blog
post ideas, they are a great gift.

10. Mittens
Even though it is currently in the sixties when it gets super cold I love to have a cute pair of mittens to keep my warm and cozy.

11. Stationary
I can usually be found raiding the Hobby Lobby card selection and looking for new Etsy shops selling greeting cards. With my love of snail mail I am always looking for new stationary.

12. Pajamas
No explanation necessary except for, comfy!

During the rest of the year I always find myself coming up with things to add to my Christmas list, but by the time December rolls around I've already forgotten about them. A great tool to use is Wishmindr, a free smartphone app that helps you create and share your wishlist. You can add gifts from any site and easily share it with friends and family. Whether you have an Android or Apple device this app is a quick and easy way to create your Christmas List. If you want some more gift ideas check out this list that I made using my Wishmindr app!

Christmas List 2015

Disclaimer: Of course I am not writing this post with the intentions of bragging or boasting. I'm simply hoping that this gives you some ideas or inspiration when you write your own list!

Canon t5i
I've been wanting to invest in a DSLR camera for the longest time. I won't be asking for this, just because it is so expensive. But I've been saving my money and can hopefully purchase it in the near future. Fingers crossed!

Kendra Scott Elisa Pendant Necklace
I hadn't heard of Kendra Scott until I started blogging. I know it's a tragedy! I picked out this specific necklace because of its simplicity, and its a beautiful everyday necklace.

Monogrammed Necklace
While we're on the topic of necklaces, I decided to include a monogrammed necklace on my list. Just like the Kendra Scott necklace, this piece is a great essential and simple jewelry piece to have.

Monogrammed Rain Coat
I think if my family had to suddenly move to Seattle, I would be so unprepared. I don't own my own rain boots, umbrella, or rain coat. With that in mind, I picked out a cute navy rain coat from one of my favorite sites, Marley Lilly.

Sperry Duck Boots
I've always loved the look of L.L. Beans duck boots, but the price tag has always scared me away. Then I found out that Sperry made duck boots, and I fell in love.

Nalgene Waterbottle
I have been recently collecting cute preppy stickers (look out for a post about how to get them for free!) I thought a great place to display them was on a water bottle.

Portable Charger
I don't know why I haven't invested in one of these sooner. They are so practical to have for school, especially since my phone is usually on the verge of death.

Baseball Hats
I love baseball hats, I would always wear them when I was younger. Some places that had some cute ones were; Vineyard Vines, Jadelynn Brooke, and Southern Proper.

T-Shirts
Just like baseball hats, I can usually be seen wearing a comfy t-shirt. There are so many cute t-shirt brands that take t-shirts to a whole new level!

Collab: My Favorite Christmas Movies

This is one of my first Christmas blog posts, and it's also a collab with my good blogger friend, Gabby of The Little Thing of Life. We are both sharing our favorite Christmas movies.

Elf
This movie is so iconic, and one that I frequently find myself quoting.
It's such a fun, family movie that is great for the holiday season.

It's A Wonderful Life

One of our traditions during the holidays is to watch this movie on Christmas Eve.
I love the lesson that this movie provides during the giving season.

Charlie Brown Christmas

It has always been my goal to be able to play the Charlie Brown theme song on piano,
it is so fun and catchy!

The Santa Clause Movies

These movies are so classic, and I find that I appreciate Tim Allen's jokes more that I'm older.
I think out of the three, my favorite has to be the first one.

Hallmark

This is probably one of it not, my most favorite part of this time of the year. My dad and I love to watch cheesy, corny Hallmark movies. I cannot express how much we love to make fun of them, the fake snow and the bad acting is so entertaining!

How to Style Hunter Boots

Hunter Boots 1

Whenever I do any outfit collages, it's always hard to pick a favorite. However, I can easily say that this is my favorite outfit. It's probably because it features my favorite color, maroon, and my favorite print, stripes!

Hunter Boots 5

I would say I'm an average height at 5'5'', so I've never been able to relate to any short/tall girl problems. Still, my friends have said that some boot they wear make them look even shorter. I like that Hunter makes these cute shorter boots for more variety.

Hunter Boots 2

This look is getting me so excited for Christmas!! I love red Hunter boots, even
though they wouldn't be the most practical color for me I still love them!

Hunter Boots 3

With the weather getting colder and colder, I've been loving layering more and more.
I've always been afraid of mixing prints, but this layered outfit is a super way to start!

Hunter Boots 4

Ah, yes!! Finally! The classic black glossy Hunter boots! One of my favorite styles, is where these
boots with a pair of colored jeans, it just adds a nice color element to an outfit!

What is your favorite style or color of Hunter Boots?
