4 Reasons You're Ready to Rebrand your Blog

It was way back in July that I decided that I needed a better fitting blog name and design. I knew it was going to be a lot of work, especially since I wanted to design my blog on my own. I'm really proud to say that I'm the one who designed my blog, with help from other tutorials found on Pinterest of course. These were some of the things that ran through my head and led me to rebranding my blog.

1 // Your blog name doesn't represent your brand.

When deciding on a new blog name I considered a lot of options. I was even talking with other bloggers as they gave me more suggestions and ideas. Make sure that the blog name you select you won't get tired of in a month from now. You want your blog name to be a representation of you and your blog.

2 // You want to focus on a new or specific topic.

A lot of posts I have read have highlighted the importance of having a niche. If you decide on a new niche a rebrand is a great way to change your blog name and design to better fit your targeted audience.

3 // You're tired of your design.

When I first started blogging for Sincerely, Syd I was using a free pre-made template which means that other bloggers could access it as well and we'd have the same blog design. I wanted my blog to have a unique and aesthetically pleasing design, and ultimately that led me to starting a rebrand.

4 // You're not feeling inspired.

As I mentioned before, I didn't like the look of my blog and that resulted in me feeling discouraged and uninspired. It's crazy how many blog post ideas I've garnered during and after my rebrand!

I truly hope this post helps you decide if you're ready for a rebrand or not, for me it was a lot of work, but I am so happy with the end result! If you having anymore questions regarding rebranding or anything for that matter, send me an email: anchoreditsouth@gmail.com

  1. When I came up with my blog name 2.5 years ago, I never imagined how important it would be! I didn't plan or research, I just thought of it and decided 26 and Not Counting would be "the one." I've been toying with the idea of changing my blog name, but I know it's no easy task!
